Dear Saint Joan of Arc,

Saint Joan of Arc (SJA) has been my second chance. I came from a school were I was at a loss educationally. SJA has opened their doors to me. SJA challenged me and gave me the best educational opportunities available. The environment SJA depicts is that of a family. There are no cliques, and that was one issue I faced at my previous school.

Being a new student I thought that I would be exclude and struggling. From the start, so many students welcomed me. In the first month of school, I was offered a position on the Student Council. At the end of the first quarter, I was asked to join the Junior Honors Society. I didn’t feel any different than a student who has been going to St. Joan of Arc for eight years.

SJA is the main reason I got into my first choice high school. SJA prepared me for the entrance exam, the interview, and high school in general. Mrs. Conrad showed me a great way to focus and relax to get the best results during the High School Placement Test (HSPT). She taught me how to meditate and focus on a very soothing emotion. This is the primary grounds on which I scored so highly on the HSPT.

In conclusion, SJA has been the base on which I will build my career. SJA has offered my key to open the door to my future. Throughout the year, I have been challenged and pushed to do my best. SJA provided the motivation I needed to get through the eighth grade. Thank you to all of the teachers, students, and staff at SJA for all that you have given me.
